Nicole M. Schumacher

Nicole Marie Schumacher, age 35, of Tomball, TX, formerly of Green Lake, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 12, 2023, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

She was born February 17, 1988, in Neenah, WI, the daughter of Mark and Bonnie Patchett Schumacher. Nicole was baptized as a child of God and was also confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin. She was a 2006 graduate of Berlin High School.

Nicole was a diligent and dedicated employee. As a result of her professional career with various companies over the years, she traveled extensively throughout the United States and was able to see parts of Canada and South Africa. Her drive and determination to succeed propelled her forward in every opportunity she took on. Because of her big and energetic personality, you never missed her being in the room. There was always a great story or experience she was willing to share. She worked hard and played hard. Nicole’s free spirit led her to try almost anything once; and one thing that really resonated with her was the zest for riding motorcycles. She bought her own Harley Davidson bike and would ride as often as she could. In 2020, she went on the grand adventure and participated in the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Nicole enjoyed celebrating little moments in life, and nothing was considered to be more perfect than eating great seafood and savoring a good shot or two of Jack Daniels with friends every now and then. Nicole adventured with James to his family home in Alaska. Additionally, she and James recently took a trip to TN, where she purchased a ’69 Chevy C10 truck that they restored.

She is survived by her parents, Mark and Bonnie; sister, Kristin (Justen) Stracy and their four children, Elliana, Brielle, Olivia and Zachary; maternal grandfather, Arden Patchett; boyfriend, James Banner; and her “fur babies”, Red and Harley. She is further survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives, friends and business colleagues. She was a proud Godmother to cousin, Alaina Patchett, and her niece and nephew, Elliana and Zachary Stracy. Nicole was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Jean Ann Vande Brink Patchett; and paternal grandparents, Richard and Beverly Schumacher.

The unexpected and sad tragedy of losing Nicole will not be in vain. Because of the hard and selfless decisions that were made, Nicole will live on not only in spirit, but in part through the generous gift of organ donation. Her right kidney and liver were transplanted into a male in his fifties, her left kidney into a male in his forties, and her heart into a male in his forties. Her bone tissue could help save and enhance the lives of up to 75 people.

Nicole, your final ride was filled with an amazing view of green pastures, adorned with never ending fields of blue bonnet flowers as far as your eyes could see. What a spectacular final vision of earthly beauty you must have enjoyed, until the one you gained that was even greater as you entered Heaven. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand, Nicole. We shall never forget you and you will be loved, always and forever.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Paul Mundinger officiating.
