Robert E. Schrei
Robert Eugene Schrei, age 75, of Berlin, died peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Patriot Place.
He was born September 15, 1946, in Poy Sippi, the son of Wallace and Gladys Rivers Schrei. Robert was a 1963 graduate of Berlin High School and served in the National Guard.
Robert grew up in Poy Sippi and spent most of his adult life in Princeton before recently moving to Patriot Place in Berlin. He worked at Alliance Laundry Systems for 48 years and would enjoy the annual trip to a Brewers game with his coworkers. Robert was a diehard Packers fan, enjoyed car shows, demolition derbies, truck/tractor pulls and the Princeton flea markets where he would always get the famous egg rolls. He loved spending time with his family the most, especially playing bean bag toss during every family reunion. You could always find Robert working around the house or feeding the birds and sometimes even line dancing.
He is survived by his three children, Robert C. (Tina) Schrei, Brandon Schrei (significant other, Courtney) and Justa (Shawn) Heldt; eight grandchildren, Christopher Allen, Clifford James, Blake Peter, Carter James, Layla Beth and Kailee Marie Schrei, and Justin Steven and Shane Eugene Heldt; two brothers, Tom (Kristin) Schrei and Mike Schrei (significant other, Kathy). Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Allen Schrei; and his aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Father Anthony Thirumalareddy officiating. Interment will be in Poy Sippi Cemetery.
