Michael A. Gruber
Michael Alan “Squeeky” Gruber, age 59, of Ripon, died peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
He was born May 19, 1957, in Ripon, the son of Emil and Lorraine Bliefnick Gruber. Michael was a 1976 graduate of Montello High School. On June 25, 1983, he was united in marriage to Susan Simson at St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin.
Michael worked for Alliance Laundry (Speed Queen) in Ripon for 38 years. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. He enjoyed watching sports and collecting caps.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; three children, Jonathan Gruber, Sarah (Dustin) Paustian and Benjamin Gruber; one grandson, Tristan Paustian; two brothers, Randy Gruber and Lawrence (Sandra) Gruber; sister, Edith (Thomas) Wargula; and three nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Gruber.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, the Rev. Bryan Fritsch officiating. Interment will be in Nepeuskun Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin.
