Roy A. Fleegal

Roy Alan Fleegal, age 49, of the Township of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah.

He was born January 25, 1972, in Berlin, the son of Clifford and Janice Stark Fleegal. Roy was a 1990 graduate of Berlin High School and was proud to be a part of the 1989 football team. He continued playing football and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at UW-La Crosse in 1996. He also attended pharmacy school at the University of Minnesota. On September 1, 1996, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Gina Albright, at Borth United Methodist Church.

Roy was a welder at Hexaco for numerous years. He started farming with his father-in-law in Waushara County, then farmed south of Berlin for several years. His passion was spending time with his children, taking them hunting, attending their sporting events, county fairs and encouraging them in 4-H. Roy enjoyed rebuilding and restoring antique tractors that he would then take to tractor pulls (his favorite childhood tractor was Massey-Harris).

He is survived by his wife, Gina; four daughters, Julie, Sarah, Alexa and Eva Fleegal; father and step-mother, Clifford (Lois) Fleegal; sister, Yvonne (Bob) Greenfield; niece and Goddaughter, Jennifer Greenfield; parents-in-law, Larry (Sue) Albright; two sisters-in-law, Erika (Jon) Hanson and Heidi (Nathan) Hutter; nieces, Hailey and Hilarie Hanson; nephews, Jackson and Sili Hanson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his mother, Janice; and grandparents, Harry (Elnora) Fleegal and John (Myrtle) Stark.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 17, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Inurnment will be in Borth Cemetery.
