Joan M. Dyer

Joan Mary Dyer, age 83, formerly of Berlin, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Angels on Arcadian in De Pere.

She was born November 4, 1931, in Madison, the daughter of William and Mary Engeldinger Breitenbach. Joan was a graduate of Edgewood High School in Madison. On April 21, 1956, she was united in marriage to Bob Dyer.

Joan was a homemaker and worked at Juliette Manor, Diedrich-Mathia Jewelers and Kretzmann Agency in Berlin. She enjoyed volunteering with the Mobile Meals program and in the gift shop at Berlin Memorial Hospital. Joan was a past Girl Scout leader and a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

She is survived by her sons, Bill Dyer and Steve (Susan) Dyer; daughter, Patti Rodatz; grandchildren, John, Molly, Madison and Brendan; and several nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, on July 6, 2005; her brothers, Mark and Peter; and sister, Catherine.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Berlin, Father David Greenfield officiating. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Madison. Friends and relatives may call on Monday, August 31, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6:45 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. On Tuesday morning, friends and relatives may gather at All Saints Catholic Church at 10:15 a.m. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s research or All Saints Catholic Church.
