Edward J. Butts

Edward J. Butts, age 79, of Berlin, died peacefully on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Brown Wilcox in Berlin.

He was born October 9, 1937, in Antigo, WI, the son of Frank and Anna Stadler Butts. Edward was a graduate of Waupun High School. On October 17, 1963, he was united in marriage to Darlene Prieve.

Edward was a Fuller Brush salesman and also worked at Ideal Shoe Factory, Berlin Laundry Co. for Oscar and Alvin Petruschke and later for Aladdin Cleaners under Jim Zamzow. Edward was a Past Commander of O’Connor-Chiers American Legion Post #340 and a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his brother, Frank (Betty) Butts. Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Darlene, on Oct. 5, 2005; and son, Ricky Allen Butts.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, the Rev. Bryan G. Lundquist officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery with military honors being performed by Berlin Honor Guard. Friends and relatives may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
