Gary E. "Oogie" Andersen

Gary Elwin “Oogie” Andersen, age 72, of Town of Nepeuskun, formerly Poy Sippi, died peacefully at home on Friday, August 21, 2020.

He was born November 14, 1947, in Berlin, WI, the son of Elwin and Margaret Becker Andersen. Oogie was a 1965 graduate of Berlin High School. In his younger days, Oogie was a meat cutter and worked at the feed mill, along with farming, driving semi-truck and logging with his portable sawmill. He enjoyed woodworking, collecting cars and going to auctions.

Oogie is survived by his two brothers, Jim (Karen) Andersen and Gordy (Kathy) Andersen; one sister, Barb (Craig) McCue; one aunt; two uncles; cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Angela; brother, Gene Andersen; infant sister, Lori; niece, Theresa; and nephew, Rick.

According to Gary’s wishes there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin. Memorials may be directed to Poy Sippi Lions, Wells-Krause VFW Post #2925 or Johannes-Wendt AMVETS Post #13.
