Myron E. Stumpner
Myron Edward Stumpner, age 90, of the Town of Bloomfield, died peacefully Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Bethany Home in Waupaca, with his family by his side.
He was born February 1, 1935, in the Town of Saxeville, Waushara County, WI, the son of Alban and Mayme Hempel Stumpner. Myron served his country in the U. S. Army from 1954-1957. On November 5, 1966, he was united in marriage to Donna Thrasher at Poy Sippi Methodist Church.
Myron was employed at Speed Queen in both the Ripon and Omro factories. He enjoyed hunting rabbits and deer, and collected cars, the Chevy Corvair being his favorite. Myron also liked John Deere and Ford tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; son, James; three daughters, Wendy Stevens, Shirley Stumpner and Mary (Dave) Turner; stepson, Jim Fleck; five grandchildren, Stephanie Nitzke, Alicia Rosin, Jeremiah Stevens, Trinity Turner and Jaelyn Fleck; nine great-grandchildren, Justyce, Oakley, Jordann, Harlan, Teagen, Brooklyn, Maci, Eric and Landon; and one sister, Mertle Gitter. Myron was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Norman; and sister, Betty Stumpner.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Barbola-Hempel Funeral Chapel in Poy Sippi. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral chapel. Inurnment with full military honors will be in Brushville Cemetery.
