Patricia L. Friday

At sunrise, at 5:15 a.m., on Saturday, June 14, 2025, Patricia Lynn Friday, age 73, of Pine River, met God.

She was born March 17, 1952, in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Roger and Evelyn Howe Steinhilber. Patty attended Oshkosh High School. On May 22, 1971, she was united in marriage to David Friday at Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Oshkosh.

Her final weeks were wrapped in love, surrounded by the family she helped create - and while they tried to prepare for her goodbye, nothing truly prepared them to lose someone so special. Patty and David built a life filled with love and laughter, raising seven children and creating a family that has now grown to over 60 people – kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and all the ones they’ve brought into the fold. All because two people fell in love.

Patty was a homemaker and was best known as the QVC Queen. She had a passion for all things crafty, especially sewing, crocheting and knitting. Patty enjoyed riding on her golf cart, playing board games (her favorite was Candyland) and putting puzzles together. But more than anything, she loved her family fiercely and her animals with her whole heart. Patty was a member of Pine River Congregational Church. The world lost a loving, patient, funny and kind woman. But heaven gained a true angel.

She is survived by her husband, David; seven children, April (Chris) Jenks, David (Kristina) Friday Jr., Michael (Denise) Friday, Christopher (Jennifer) Friday, Angela (Todd) Gray, Melissa Friday (significant other, Dean Rodensal) and Nicholas (Amanda) Friday; 24 grandchildren, Ashley (Zachary) Brooks, Abigail Haese (significant other, Jordan Hempel), Jacob (Jenna) Friday, Thomas (Ashley) Friday, Devin (Natalie) Friday, Isabella Friday (significant other, Jesse Stevens), Melissa Untereiner, Joseph Untereiner, Cody Untereiner, Ernest Untereiner (significant other, Elizabeth Hernandez), Ashley Abler, Bradley Abler, Ciara Rodriquez-Gonzales, Jonah Gray, Isaiah (Devinah) Yeagley, Hannah Gray, Micah Gray, Hunter Bellman, Ayden Bellman and Austyn (Chloee) Rodensal, Jordan Rodensal, Alexis Fergelic, Owen Friday and Lily Friday; 12+ great-grandchildren, Mallory Brooks, Nora Brooks, Rory Friday, BraeLynn Friday, Kendall Friday, Walker Friday, Colt Stevens, Ethan Wicihowski, Rowin Untereiner, Pheynix Yeagley, Kalvin Keller, Serena Hernandez and two great-grandsons on-the-way; two sisters, Jody Woulf and Candice Drier; brother-in-law, Terry (Beverly) Friday; sister-in-law, Julie (Brian) Handy; her beloved ponies, Dolly and Sunshine; and dogs, Marley and Nugget. Patty was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Nyle (Lorraine) Friday; and brother-in-law, Wayne Friday.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 22, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Pine River Congregational Church. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Mary Rodencal officiating. Inurnment will be in Pine River Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola-Hempel Funeral Chapel in Poy Sippi.
