Sharyl R. Crump
Sharyl Ruth Crump, age 75, of Berlin, died peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
She was born December 29, 1949, in Oshkosh, WI, to Derald and Ruth Laiten Parsons, one of three girls. Sharyl was baptized and confirmed at North Rushford Methodist Church. She was a 1968 graduate of Omro High School. On August 11, 1979, she was united in marriage to Ken Crump at Berlin United Methodist Church.
Sharyl was employed at Badger Mining Corporation for 45 years. She would tell anyone she was one of the luckiest people because she had the best job in the world. After retirement, she was blessed to find a part-time job at Chier Law Office in Berlin. Sharyl was a member of WE Community Church in Waukau.
Her greatest joy was her family. Beth, Kandi and Kevin were her greatest gifts. Time with them and their families was priceless. She was blessed with the best sons-in-law, Rick and Michael. Kenny and Sharyl spent their entire married life living in the same home in the Town of Seneca. She loved her trees and mowing lawn.
Sharyl was blessed with a large circle of girlfriends. She loved to dance. She and Kenny could be found dancing to their favorite band, Boomba’s Boppers. Sharyl and her best friend, Karen, were Sound Foundation groupies. She hopes she is remembered for her love of fast cars, high heels, short skirts, lipstick and champagne.
She is survived by her beloved, loyal and forgiving husband, Kenny; three children, Beth (Michael Arps) Kerstell, Kandi (Rick) Yrigoyen and Kevin Crump; three grandchildren, Meghann (Andrew) Murray, Maverick “Ricky” and Brooklyn Crump; five great-grandchildren, Sage, Kale, Dahlia, Willow and Rosemary Murray; two sisters, Sue Zouski and Mary Hanson; beloved cousin, Noreen Zouski; father-in-law, Theron Crump; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Reid (Bobbie) Crump and Gordy (Sue) Crump; lifelong friends, Karen Haedt and Ellen Sheets; and her cherished friend, Beth Nighbor. Sharyl was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Dora Crump; brothers-in-law, John Zouski and Pete Hanson; and Goddaughter, Randee Lesnick.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 18, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the VFW Hall in Berlin. Private graveside services with inurnment will be held on a warm, sunny day in Rushford Cemetery, located across the road from her grandparents, William and Bessie Parsons’ homestead.
