Ronald A. Zakowski, age 77, of the Township of Marion, died Monday, January 24, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.

 

He was born December 13, 1933 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Arthur and Regina Stima Zakowski.  He attended high school in Milwaukee and Milwaukee School of Engineering.  On June 28, 1958, he was united in marriage to Betty C. Noland.  They moved to Berlin in 1960 and Ron worked at David White/ Realist in Berlin for forty-five years.  His hobby was building, repairing, and restoring stereo cameras.

 

Ron is survived by his wife, Betty; three children Anita (Jeff) Lind of Berlin, Paul (Linda) Zakowski of Sherwood, and Sharon (Joe)  Oswald of Cary, IL; seven grandchildren Grace, Zac, Ryleigh, Lindsey, Mycenzie, Alicia, and Josef.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Shirley Schachtner.

 

Funeral services were held on Monday, January 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, the Rev. Jerome Maksvytis officiating.  Interment was heldin St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
