James "Jim" Arthur Shohoney, age 73 of Berlin, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday
afternoon, October 6, 2012.
James was born on March 7, 1939 in Richmond, IN, the son of William Joseph and Charlotte Clarice
Gilbert Shohoney.
James worked diligently for many years as the Purchasing Manager for Sand Knit, later Ripon
Athletic. He enjoyed golf and fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Jim is survived by his three sons, Michael (Jeanne) Shohoney of Ripon, David (Shelby) Shohoney of
Green Lake, and Steven (Jennifer) Shohoney of Franklin; one step-son, Garson "Gary" (Sue) Knapp
of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; seven grandsons, Ryan, Ross and Reed Shohoney of Ripon, Zachary
and Connor Shohoney of Green Lake, and Trevor and Daxton Shohoney of Franklin; one step-
granddaughter, Rebecca (Joseph) Burton of Ft. Worth, TX; two step-grandsons, Morgan Knapp of
Houston, TX and Tyler Knapp of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and one step-great granddaughter, Emmy
Burton of Ft. Worth, TX. James was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Karol Ann.
In accordance with Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral services or
visitation.
A memorial has been established in his memory to the Humane Society of Oshkosh and may be
directed to his son, Michael Shohoney, 536 Watson Street, Ripon, WI 54971. Arrangements have
been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin.
