James Patrick Murphy, age 77 of Milwaukee, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Horizon Hospice in Mequon, WI.

Jim was born July 4, 1934 in Sheboygan, WI. He was the son of Arthur and Isabel Wagner Murphy. He was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School and attended Marquette University. Jim also served his country in the U. S. Air Force. On October 5, 1968 he was united in marriage to Sharon O'Connor in Berlin, WI.

Jim was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Milwaukee. He was employed at Time Insurance Company.

Jim is survived by his sister, Kathleen (Jerry) Kracht of Grafton; niece, Stefani Collins of Brookfield; nephew, Steve Kracht of Wauwatosa; and great niece, Katherine Collins of Brookfield. He is further survived by special friends and neighbors, Russ and Barb Kerkman. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Sharon O'Connor Murphy.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Milwaukee at a later date. Inurnment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, in Berlin, WI. Thank you to Horizon Hospice - St, Mary's Ozaukee County in Mequon, WI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel.
