Forrest W. Miller, age 85, formerly of the Township of Nepeuskun in rural Berlin, died peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh.
He was born March 19, 1926 in Green Springs, Ohio, the son of Alfred O. and Erma R. Tusing Miller. Forrest was a 1944 graduate of Melmore High School in Melmore, OH. On November 4, 1944, he was united in marriage to Evva F. Bogart in Little Rock, AK. He served his country in World War II in the U.S. Army. Forrest was a dairy farmer in Seneca County, Ohio before he and his family moved to Wisconsin in 1958 and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Nepeuskun.
Forrest is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Evva; two daughters Gail R. Miller of Edina, MN, and Joy M. Pooler of Johns Creek, GA; son Tim W. (Patty) Miller of Suamico; two grandchildren Kristy Miller of Pasadena, CA, and Kathy Miller (fiancé Zac Van Daalwyk) of Hortonville; brother Richard (Fay) Miller of Ventura, CA; sisters Vonda Jean Gebauer of Fostoria, OH, and Mary Margaret Price of Tiffin, OH; sister-in-law Madalyn Miller of Norwalk, OH; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Dean Miller; two brothers Miles Miller and Clyde Miller; and four sisters Treva Perkins, Helen Miller, Nina Miller, and Kathryn Sherman.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, April 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, with Pastor Phil Skramstad officiating. Interment was in Eureka Cemetery in the Township of Rushford. Memorials may be given to Heritage Baptist Fellowship of Berlin and may be mailed to Evva Miller at 1118 North Westfield Street, Oshkosh, WI 54902.
