Maxine A. Mevis, age 84 of Berlin, died peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Berlin Memorial Hospital.

 

Maxine was born March 1, 1927 in Oshkosh, WI.  She was the daughter of Harvey and Helen Boehlke LeRoy.  She attended UW Madison and was an Occupational Therapist at Winnebago Health.  Maxine was very talented in arts and crafts.  Maxine celebrated 29 years of sobriety with AA.

 

She is survived by her two daughters, Deb (Paul) Brown of Berlin and Sharon Howen of FL; one son, Richard Sievers of Green Lake; one sister, Pat Kuharski of Princeton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a special daughter-in-law, Sharon Varner.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Richard Sievers.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel.
