Sandra Florence Warner, age 58, of Milwaukee, died peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2013 at
Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa.
She was born October 29, 1954 in Staten Island, NY, a twin daughter of Walter and Dorothy Roe
Warner. She was a graduate of Newton High School, and received her Bachelor of Science degree
from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She later
received her Master’s Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation from University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Sandra was quite remarkable in never giving up her dream of getting a college degree, even being
diagnosed with dyslexia and being legally blind. She loved to read whatever book she could get
her hands on. She enjoyed doing artwork in sewing and beading. Sandra had a love for music
and studied singing for many years. She worked as a rehabilitation counselor at the Wisconsin
Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, specializing in the blind and low vision, for eight years. She
was actively involved in her church and had a strong faith.
She is survived by her parents, Walter and Dorothy Warner; her sisters, Linda Warner, Merry Warner,
and Ladean(Joseph) Adamiszyn; her nieces, Rebekah Dubois, Jami LaCasse and Katie Adamiszyn; her
nephews Matthew Schraven and Jeremiah LaCasse; and many other relatives and friends. She was
preceded in death by her twin sister, Susan.
Memorial services are Friday, October 4, at 7:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel, the Rev. JoAnn
Schoblaski officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Humane Society of America,
or the Vision forward Association 912 N. Hawley Rd. Milwaukee, WI 53213.
Sandra will be missed by her family and friends, but not forgotten. Whenever we pick up a book, we
will remember you. Our love goes up to you.
