Richard Conrad Rodensal, age 90, of Berlin, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at his
home.
He was born March 17, 1924 in Berlin, the son of Walter and Louise Zietlow Rodensal. On October 8,
1949, he was united in marriage to Gertrude Harmel. Richard served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He was a mechanic for over 50 years at Berlin Oil and also farmed in the Town of Aurora.
Richard is survived by his son, Lance (Jodie) Rodensal; three grandchildren, Levi (Toni) Rodensal,
Corey (Rachel) Domke and Landrew Rodensal; five great-grandchildren, Shayla, Cassidy and Jordan
Rodensal and McKenzie and Domonic Domke; a brother, Bernard Rodensal; two sisters, Karene
(Robert) Jezwinski and Robin (Russ) Henriksen; a sister-in-law, Joyce Rodensal; and many nieces
and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gertrude on August 10, 2001;
a daughter, Cleo Rodensal; three brothers, William Rodensal, Walter “Bud” Rodensal, and Spencer
Rodensal; and a sister, Joan Brisky.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in
Berlin. Inurnment will be in St. Michael Cemetery with military honors. Friends and relatives may call
