Carmen A. Krause, age 81, of Berlin, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Prairie Place in Ripon.
Carmen was born October 19, 1931 in the Town of Leon, Waushara County, the daughter of Alden and Charlotte Rutkowski Taylor. She was a 1950 graduate of Berlin High School. On March 25, 1950, she was united in marriage to Marlin W. Krause.
In her early years, she was an usher at REX Theatre in Berlin. She was employed at Ripon Foods for several years and a member of Faith Community Church. Carmen loved the outdoors, gardening, trips – especially to the east Coast and Mackinac Island, going to church, watching movies, eating-
out, and family time.
Carmen is survived by three sons, Mark (Debbie) Krause, Michael (Sheryl) Krause, all of Ripon, and
Mickey Krause (Special Friend Jean) of Berlin; and four grandchildren, Patrick, Clark, Dylan, and
Libby. She is further survived by the family of her second late husband, Quinn Rasmussen. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin on July 18, 1998; her parents; and a brother, Alden
“Fuzzy” Taylor Jr.
Carmen had a song written for her by Marty Robbins called “Tonight Carmen” on recommendation of
a friend.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in
Berlin, the Rev. Terry Reiser officiating. Interment will be in Bush Cemetery in the Town of Berlin.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, April 19 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at
Barbola Funeral Chapel and on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
