Lee R. Eldred, age 78, of Berlin, died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at his home in the Town of Aurora.

Lee was born July 18, 1935 on the family farm in the Town of Aurora, the son of Charles and Mabel

Rodencal Eldred. Lee was a single man, and lived his entire life on the family farm. He was a 1953

graduate of Berlin High School and served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard in the mid

1960’s. He was a member of the Berlin Conservation Club, where he enjoyed trap shooting. Lee was

an avid hunter and sportsman. He enjoyed time with his friends in Eureka and at Four Corners.

He is survived by two brothers, Loren (Kay) Eldred of Sonoma, CA, and John (Judy) Eldred of Berlin;

nieces and nephew, Lori, Lisa, Lee, Kathy, Cindy, and Peggy; and his great-nieces and nephews. He

was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Les.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 23 at 6:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in

Berlin. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral chapel on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to

6:00p.m. Memorials will be given to the Hunter Education Program at the Berlin Conservation Club.
