Arnold Francis “Arnie” Claflin, age 59, of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at
Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah due to an automobile accident.
He was born July 31, 1955 in Wabasha, MN, the son of Floyd and Adeline Christopherson Claflin.
Arnie was a graduate of Pepin Public Schools. On August 9, 1974, he was united in marriage to
Colette Setterlund in Pepin, WI.
Arnie was a Surgical Technician for 30 years at Berlin Memorial Hospital and for the past 2 years
as a CNA at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital. He loved to hunt, fish, be outdoors and watch
sports.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Colette; daughter, Kristen Claflin (AJ Fischer); son, Jonathan
(Benjamen) Claflin; sister, Margaret “Meg” (Richard) LaBrie; and nephews, Scott & Chad Wilson; his
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; cousins; other relatives and friends. Arnie was preceded in death
by his parents; his sister, Marcella Wilson; and grandparents.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Grace English
Lutheran Church in Berlin, the Rev. Scott T. Piper officiating. Friends and relatives may call on
Saturday, November 1 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Arrangements have been
