Harry L. Smith

    Harry L. Smith, age 89, of Berlin, died peacefully on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Juliette Manor in
    Berlin.

     

    Harry was born May 5, 1923 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Raymond and Lillian Buck Smith.
    On October 25, 1947, he was united in marriage to June F. Tritt. Harry was a member of St.
    Paul Lutheran Church at Fairburn. He enjoyed fishing as a hobby. He worked many years as a
    journeyman plumber. Some notable building projects he worked on included Juliette Manor, Clay
    Lamberton School, Ripon High School & College, as well as many area homes.

     

    He is survived by his wife of 65 years, June; six sons, Merle (Sharon) Smith of Oshkosh, Lester Smith
    of Milwaukee, Melvin (Cindy) Smith of Berlin, Dale (Diane) Smith of Berlin, Wade (Julie) Smith of
    Ripon, & Brian (Lisa) Smith of Berlin; one daughter Marilyn Garza of Mesa, AZ; 23 grandchildren;
    over 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sisters-in-law Elaine Collins of Omro,
    Janet Ticks of Winneconne, Beverly (Eddy) Rehfeldt of Larsen; brothers-in-law Jerry Tritt of King,
    Berniel (Lorraine) Tritt of Neenah, Sherden Tritt of Oshkosh, and Delroy (Joyce) Tritt of Pickett.

     

    Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Calvin Smith; brothers-in-law, John Hintz and
    Lloyd Collins; three sisters, Lorraine Pearson, Arlene Miller, and Helen Losinski; and a sister in-law
    Carol Hintz.

     

    Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church,
    Fairburn, with the Rev. Gregory Sluke officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery in the
    Town of Seneca. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday, November 14 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00
    p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel and at the church on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
