Kathryn “Kay” L. Pinnow

Kathryn “Kay” L. Pinnow, age 62, of Ripon, died peacefully on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Ripon Medical Center.

Kay was born March 1, 1950 in Berlin, WI.  She was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Ludwig Kline.  She was a 1968 graduate of Berlin High School.  On her birthday, March 1, in 1970 she married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth G. Pinnow at Grace English Lutheran Church in Berlin.

She loved to cook and bake (usually in large quantity) and would often send her home-made pies home with everyone, much to their delight.

Kay had a tremendous loving heart that she adored sharing with all her grandchildren.

She and Ken even opened up their home as foster parents.  She valued family time together,

especially camping and throwing parties during the summer at Big Hills Lake.  Despite

allergies, Kay enjoyed the farm life and raising her children there.  She was employed at Ripon

Medical Center in the Dietary Department.  She was a member of the Town and Country

Homemakers and an active member of Grace English Lutheran Church as a choir member

    and quilt maker.

Kay is survived by her husband, Kenneth; three children, Douglas (Danforth) Pinnow, Jeff

(Beckie) Pinnow, and Sara (Brian) Mildebrandt, all of Ripon; six grandchildren, Morgan,

Madelyn, Emma, Justin, Rylee, and Gretchen; two brothers, Thomas (Patsy) Kline of Wild

Rose and Douglas (Bonnie) Kline of Berlin; two brothers-in-law, Dave (Marlene) Pinnow of

Berlin and Ervin Pinnow of Waupun; nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her

    parents.
