Earle L. "Bud" Page

Earle L. “Bud” Page, age 83 of Berlin, died Friday, May 6, 2011 at Juliette Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born July 30, 1927 in Berlin, WI, the son of Norman and Verna Piechowski Page.  On July 31, 1954, he was united in marriage to Felicia Drover at St. Michael Catholic Church in Berlin.

 

Bud graduated from Ripon High School.  After high school, he served in the U. S. Navy from 1945-1947 in the Philippines as an Electrician’s Mate Third Class.  He further served in the Army National Guard as a Sergeant from 1950-1953.  He was employed at Wisconsin Power & Light Co. from 1950-1958 when he started Page Electric Co., Inc.  He worked as an electrical contractor until he retired and sold the business to his children in 1999.  Bud enjoyed traveling throughout the 48 states, Europe, and Mexico.  He raced cars at the Berlin Race Track and other communities in the early 1950s.

 

Bud was a member of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce, the Knights of Columbus, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and All Saints Catholic Church.

 

Surviving are his wife Felicia; two daughters JoAnne (Dennis) Kempf of Berlin and Elizabeth (Gary Lawrence) Page of Pine River; two sons David (Barbara Shinn) Page of Mattituck, NY and Christopher (fiancé Lisa McNichol) Page of Jackson Heights, NY; a granddaughter Kristy (Derek) Kresal of Berlin; three grandsons Matthew (Jackie) Kempf of Neenah, Christopher (Kimberly) Lawrence of Bloomington, MN, and Darren (Missy) Lawrence of Rosemont, MN; 6 great grandchildren Emily, Paige, Madeline, Dominic, Addison, and Sydney; nephew Robert (Ursula) Page of Tampa, FL; as well as other nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Patrick Page.

 

Funeral services with Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, May 11 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Berlin, the Rev. Dan Viertel officiating.  Interment was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Berlin. The Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel with Rev. Philip Krogman officiating.  Memorials may be given to the Berlin Catholic School Endowment Fund, Green Lake Area Animal Shelter, and the Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel.
