Violet M. Madison

Violet Martha Madison, age 90, of Berlin, died peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton.

 

Violet was born December 17, 1920 in the Township of Leon in Waushara County, WI.  She was the daughter of John and Elsie Brey Timm.  She was united in marriage to Oscar Klick.  They raised a family and Vi worked as a cook at the Poy Sippi School from 1962-1976.  She was a member of the Berlin Senior Center, where she enjoyed many hours, and a member of Grace English Lutheran Church.

 

She is survived by her children Sandra (Tom) Moore of Portage, Joni (Glen) Volp 0f Omro, Richard (Rita) Klick of Oconomowoc, and Carole (Jim) Prochnow of Wisconsin Rapids; her grandchildren Jay (Gail) Prochnow, Chad Prochnow, Kelly (Pete) Smitsdorff, Andrea Klick, Tyler Volp (Amanda Klima), and Kyle Volp; great-grandchildren Ryan & Erik Prochnow, and Jacob & Charlie Smitsdorff; a brother Edgar (Lenora) Timm; and sister Shirley (Joe) Foti of CA.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Rueben Timm; sister Elaine Lungwitz; and husbands Oscar Klick, Thomas Buchanan, Darwin Priegnitz, Cyrus Madison; and special friend Sidney King.

 

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, May 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace English Lutheran Church in Berlin, the Rev. Rick Engen officiating.  Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery in the Town of Aurora. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel.  The family asks that any memorials be directed to the Berlin Senior Citizens Center, or Grace Lutheran Church.
