Ruth Holly Fortnum, age 104, of Berlin, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Juliette
Manor in Berlin.

Ruth was born July 12, 1908 in Waupaca, WI, the daughter of Roy and Mabel Groves Holly. On June
18, 1931, she was united in marriage to Niels "Tim" Fortnum.

She is survived by three sons: Don (Emily) Fortnum of Gettysburg, PA, Ted (Sherrill) Fortnum of
Tomball, TX, and Dick (Sharon) Fortnum of Berlin. She is also survived by a brother, Tom Holly of
AZ.; her grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her husband in 1978; two brothers; a sister; and a grandson.

Family graveside services will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Waupaca, the Rev. JoAnn Schoblaski
officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin. Online
