John J. Felcan, age 70, of the Town of Aurora, died at his home on Sunday, April 10, 2011.

 

John was born January 2, 1941 in Chicago, IL, the son of John Felcan Sr. and Anna Fajnor Felcan.  He was a graduate of Luther High North High School and attended Northwestern University.  On June 9, 1962, he was united in marriage to Beatrice R. Nativadad in Chicago, IL. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2002. He worked at the Berlin Foundry from 1978 until his retirement.  John was a member of the Aurora Snow Blazers.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and his granddaughters were the pride and joy of his life.

 

John is survived by his son, John (Jodi) Felcan of Berlin; two grandchildren, Caitlin and Kara Felcan of Berlin; and a brother, Martin Felcan of Berlin; his sister-in-law Kathie (Michael) Gruskin of Kirkland, WA; and two nephews David (Laura) Felten of Oshkosh, and Ed Felten of MI.  He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

 

Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, the Rev. Brian Beardsley officiating. John was later be inurned in Pine Grove Cemetery in Auroraville.
