Shirley Wagner

    Shirley Wagner, age 66, of the Town of Poy Sippi, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at

    Patriot Place in Berlin.

     

    She was born May 1, 1947 in Wautoma, the daughter of Arnold A. and Francis M. Muske Standke.

    Following the death of her parents, she was raised by foster parents, Bill and Adeline Boelter. She was a 1965 graduate of Wautoma High School. On October 3, 1970, she was united in marriage to Roger Wagner at Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma. Shirley worked for Waushara County Register in Probate for five years & then took time to raise a family. Later, she worked for 20 years at Wal-
    Mart in Berlin.

    She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi. Shirley was baptized into the body of

    Jesus Christ and we look forward to seeing her in the Resurrection.

     

    Shirley is survived by her husband, Roger; two daughters, Lori (Rick) Ryckman and Sherri (Ryan)

    McElroy; five grandchildren, Ashley, Andy, and April Ryckman, and Andreanna and Alexianna

    McElroy; 2 sisters, Lorraine Kiersten and Maxine (Rich) Assaf; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Allen

    (Donna) Wagner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     

    She was preceded in death by her parents; foster parents; two sisters, Christine Thiel and Emily

    Pomplun; and one brother, Dennis Standke.

     

    Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmaus Lutheran Church in

    Poy Sippi, the Rev. Mark Meier Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin.

    Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, May 8 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral

    Chapel in Berlin, and also on Friday at the church one hour prior to the service. Online condolences
