Robert L. Rohde

    Robert L. Rohde, age 75, of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.

     

    He was born September 29, 1939 in Green Lake County, the son of Royce and Dorothy Brotkowski Rohde. On June 10, 1960, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Carol M. Bartol. Their honeymoon lasted for the next 54 years. Bob worked at Berlin Foundry as a Master Coremaker. Bob could fix anything and he had a green thumb. You could always find him working in his garage. Bob was a member of Berlin Chapman “Old Timers”, Pullers Inc. (truck pulling), Berlin Snowmobile Club,

    Berlin Street Cruzers, Inc. Car Club, NRA and All Saints Catholic Church.

     

    He is survived by his wife, Carol; three sons, Robert M. (Jackie) Rohde, Doug (Linda) Rohde and

    Kevin (Sandy) Rohde; two daughters, Kelly (Steve) Wadel and Kay (Jim) Schultz; thirteen

    grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bill (Carolyn) Rohde, Jim (Dorie) Rohde, Dale

    (Bobbi) Rohde and Randy (Tracey) Rohde; five sisters, Nancy Zettelemeier, Joanne (Clayton)

    Wuerch, Judy Grantham, Norma King and Marjorie (John) Gier; and many nieces and nephews. He

    was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Royce Rohde Jr. and John Rohde; and Carol’s

    parents, Alfred and Isabel Bartol.

     

    Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic

    Church in Berlin, the Rev. David Greenfield officiating. Friends and relatives may call on Tuesday,

    March 31 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel. A prayer service will be held at

    7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Barbola Funeral Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to the family at
