Shirley J. Pierce

     

    Shirley J. Pierce, of Oshkosh, formerly of Berlin, passed away at her home on Monday, March 3, 2014.

     

    She was born in Berlin on November 3, 1934, the daughter of Forest and Hilda Hoehne Krebs. She was a 1952 graduate of Berlin High School. On June 7, 1958, she was united in marriage to Charles Pierce in Berlin. Shirley worked for over 30 years at the First National Bank in Berlin, where she retired as Head Cashier and Vice President in 1996. She was an active member of the Berlin Boat Club, serving as the club Treasurer for many years, and a member of the United Methodist Church in Berlin. She enjoyed people, taking care of her home, and watching the sun set over the lake.

     

    Shirley is survived by a son, Daniel (Rainu) Pierce of Barrington, IL; a daughter, Susan (Timothy)

    Rodensal of Berlin, five grandchildren, Dean (Melissa) Rodensal, Andrea Rodensal, Tyler Rodensal,

    Ian Pierce, and Aimee Pierce; great-grandchildren, Austyn Rodensal, Jordan Weinkauf, and Jasmyn

    Ruiz; her brother, Richard (Donna) Krebs of Berlin; plus numerous other relatives and friends.

     

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on October 13, 2002; and by her parents.

     

    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8 at 3:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin,

    the Rev. Aaron Alfred officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends and relatives may

    call at the chapel on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
