Jean Ann Patchett, age 72, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in
Appleton.
She was born June 26, 1941 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Stephan and Anna Vande Kolk Vande Brink. She attended Ripon High School. On July 25, 1959, she was united in marriage to Arden Patchett in Ripon.
Jean Ann was a homemaker and member of St. John Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting,
gardening and canning.
She is survived by her husband, Arden; a son, Keith (Stacie) Patchett; two daughters, Bonnie (Mark)
Schumacher and Brenda (Kenneth) Dibelius; eight grandchildren, Kristin (Justen) Stracy, Nicole Schumacher,
Ericka Dibelius, Mitchel Dibelius, Cassandra Patchett, Annalise Patchett, Ava Patchett and Alaina Patchett;
two great-grandchildren, Elliana and Brielle Stracy; four brothers, Robert Vande Brink, Edwin (Marion) Vande
Brink, Steve (Barbara) Vande Brink, Joseph (Janet) Vande Brink; and three sisters, Mary Ellen Grahn, Sharon
(Dan) Sina and Diane (Terry) Sauerbrei. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald
Vande Brink and Richard Vande Brink; and two sisters, Alice Briskie and Donna Brewer.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in
Berlin, the Rev. Bryan Lundquist officiating. Interment will be in Bluffton Cemetery. Friends and
relatives may call on Sunday, June 1 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin.
