Doris E. Hoeft

    Doris E. Hoeft, age 84, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Patriot Place in Berlin.

     

    She was born December 12, 1928 in Winnebago County, the daughter of Ervin and Hattie Arnold Hintz. Doris graduated with honors from Oshkosh High School and was employed as a Secretary/Treasurer by the Oshkosh Camp Fire Office. On August 23, 1950, she was united in marriage to Robert M. Hoeft. For 28 years they operated the Hoeft centennial farm near Borth. In
    1979, they moved to the home they built in Poy Sippi. Areas of employment included salesperson at Daisy Dairy in Poy Sippi, purchasing/administrative work at Kolpin Manufacturing in Berlin, and free-lance writing for the Waushara Argus.

    Doris was very active in her church, community, and numerous organizations. She served as an
    Adult Sunday School Teacher for over 15 years, Vacation Bible School Director, President and leader
    of PTO, 4-H, Homemakers, and, TOPS.

     

    Doris was a cherished and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be
    remembered for her dedication to family, creativity, hospitality, organizational skills, a touch of
    spunk, and faithful love and service to her Lord Jesus.

     

    She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert; daughter, Kathleen (George) Oehrlein of Sun
    Prairie; son, Glenn (Diane) of Baraboo; granddaughters, Karin (Joshua) Mueller Carl of Nashville, TN
    and Lisa Mueller of Madison; and great-grandson, David Carl of Nashville, TN.

     

    She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lawrence and Clarence; son-in-law, Dean
    Mueller; and granddaughter, Diana Mueller.

     

    Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Community
    Church in Berlin, the Rev. Terry Reiser officiating. Interment will be in Poy Sippi Cemetery.
    The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
    Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin. Memorials may be given to
    Faith community Church.
