Norma M. Edinger

    Norma Madalyn Edinger, age 90, formerly of Omro, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at American House in Berlin, with her family at her side.

     

    Norma was born August 8, 1922 in the Town of Rushford, the daughter of William and Jessie Chalmers Schrader. She was a 1940 graduate of Berlin High School and Green Lake County Normal.
    On November 4, 1941, she was united in marriage to Earl Edinger.

     

    She owned and operated Eureka Dam Camp Site since 1950. She and her husband, Earl, farmed in the Town of Rushford. In early years, she worked at Ripon Knitting Works and Speed Queen.
    Norma was a member of Rebekah Lodge (I.O.O.F.) when it was in Eureka. She was also a member of Eureka Methodist Church, past member of WI Sled Dog Club, Winnebago County Board, Oshkosh Boating Club, Campground Association, Omro Historical Society, and the Farm Bureau.

    Norma is survived by her son, Clive (Louella) Edinger of Omro; two daughters, Lorna Damerow
    (friend Paul Lewis) of Banning, CA and Janet (Jim) Clausen of Omro; two grandsons, Sean (Rita)
    Edinger of Eureka and Dr. Mark (Melissa) Edinger of Ripon; and four great grandchildren, Terry,
    Melissa, Emily, and Allison; several nieces and nephews.

     

    She was preceded in death by her husband on June 22, 2007; her parents; three brothers, Ivan,
    Clive, and William Schrader; and one sister, Julia Schrader.

     

    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Eureka Methodist Church,
    the Rev. Anita Genrich officiating. Inurnment will be in Eureka Cemetery. The family will receive
    friends and relatives on Saturday Morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
    Memorial donations may be given to Eureka United Methodist Church, Omro Historical Society, or
    Eureka Cemetery.
